Acknowledging that many residents in the county are looking for financial, health and welfare support in these challenging times a new Health and Welfare Hub has been launched.  As part of Surrey County Council’s No One Left Behind ambition the online hub endeavours to signpost residents to relevant help and support across the county. surreycc.gov.uk/welfare

The online hub has been launched in conjunction with the Surrey County Council Customer Services team who have a new welfare support offering. The Community Helpline Team are now able to offer a more thorough advice and support service for any financial, health or welfare concerns residents may have.

If people can’t find the help and support they need on the Health and Welfare hub then they can ring the Community Helpline team who can talk through their needs and find the best source of help, support and advice for them  0300 200 1008.

Council Leader Tim Oliver and Head of Customer Services Sue Grizzell explain in this video what and why this new service has been launched. New Health and Welfare hub and helpline – YouTube.

Council Leader Tim Oliver said, “We know that more and more people in Surrey are finding themselves in challenging situations  – struggling financially and with their health and wellbeing. Some of these people will not have struggled before and are unsure of where to turn to for help.  So in our ambition of No One Left Behind we know how important it is that people can get the right information at the right time for their needs. If people can’t find the answers on our online hub then they can pick up the phone and talk to someone who can listen to their needs.”
