Division: East Molesey and Esher
Steve got his first taste for council meetings and helping residents to resolve problems through his work as a local newspaper reporter in Surrey.
He was elected to Elmbridge Borough Council in 2014 and 2018, representing Molesey East ward, and he joined Surrey County Council as the division member for East Molesey & Esher division in May 2021.
In addition to serving as Vice-Chairman of the Elmbridge Local Committee, Steve is a member of the Corporate Parenting Board and Deputy Cabinet Member to the Leader. In the latter role, he is responsible for Surrey's performance management and data analytics function, its Equality, Diversity and Inclusion agenda and is helping to improve Surrey Conservative Group communications.
